The kit gives parents and caregivers the opportunity to introduce some reading concepts to young children to lay the foundation for their school learning. The carefully crafted sequence of short scripted lessons, games and storybook activities enables parents to teach their pre-school-age children some essential phonological awareness skills and develop oral language and vocabulary, setting children up for future literacy instruction success.
Storybook sessions are based on 36 popular children’s literature titles. These books need to be borrowed from the library or purchased separately from the Books we recommend section of this website.
