Speech Pathology Australia has shortlisted The Spotty Sock Mystery, published by MultiLit’s Putto Press, for the 2023 Book of the Year Awards, in the ‘three to five years’ category.

Written by Dr Anna Notley and illustrated by Heidi Cooper Smith, this charming story about silly socks and one that goes missing, is a mystery to be solved!

“It’s wonderful to see that the aim of The Spotty Sock Mystery, to help children build their oral language skills while enjoying a fun story (and many silly socks) along the way, has been recognised by Speech Pathology Australia!” says author, Dr Anna Notley.

“We’re thrilled that The Spotty Sock Mystery has been shortlisted for this award and congratulate Anna and Heidi on their wonderful work on this book,” says Freya Purnell, Publisher and Chief Operating Officer, MultiLit.

The Spotty Sock Mystery is part of a series of picture books written specifically to amuse and engage children as they develop oral language and storytelling skills, which makes this recognition from Speech Pathology Australia even more special.”
